Survivor Parade

What is the Survivor Parade?

The Survivor Parade is a celebration of life for those who have won their battle against breast cancer! It is also a time to remember those who are no longer with us, as we share a brief moment of silence together in honor of those who have lost their battle.

Survivors should begin to gather just before 8:00 am.  The Survivor Parade will take place just before 8:15, with the Survivor Photo to take place immediately following.

Survivors should meet at the Survivor Cafe.  From there, the Survivor Parade will move toward the main stage with the Survivor Photo being taken from the stage.

The Survivor Parade is a very important part of the Komen Iowa Race for the Cure.  Race Day is a time for everyone to come together and celebrate the reason why we are all there, and why we work so hard fundraising and spreading awareness, which is our survivors.  We want to make sure we honor these brave individuals, and recognize them for their strength and the hope they give everyone impacted by this disease.
