What is the Survivor Cafe?
The Survivor Cafe tent is dedicated to our breast cancer survivors on Race Day, and celebrating their victory over breast cancer. In this area, Survivors will be able to enjoy a hot breakfast courtesy of the Iowa Egg Council and Cookies, take part in various games with prizes being given away, receive a free massage courtesy of Body Tech, take photos at our specialized photo booth, and much more!
The Survivor Cafe opens at 7 am and will begin serving breakfast at that time. The Survivor Cafe will be open all morning with opportunities for the aforementioned activities, so don’t miss out on stopping by!
The Survivor Cafe is located on the very north edge of the south parking lot on the site grounds. The entrance is located at the west end of the cafe.
Any survivor can visit this tent on Race Day, and may bring one guest with them!
The Survivor Cafe is a very important part of the Komen Iowa Race for the Cure. Our survivors are the reason we are there on Race Day, and why we work so hard fundraising and spreading awareness throughout the year. So this area is dedicated to them as a thank you for the inspiration they provide us every other day of the year.
